On Friday 19 and Saturday 20 August Prestasi Junior held the Indonesian Student Company Competition at Lotte Shopping Mall in Jakarta. Teams from the regions came to Jakarta to compete for the honour of the best high school student company and a chance to represent Indonesia in the Asia Pacific Student Company of the Year Competition scheduled for Tokyo, February 2017. Over a period of many months’ students set up mini-enterprises and ran these successfully with the support of Citibank, Kaltim Prima Coal, General Electric, Bank Permata, and Yayasan Pembangunan Jaya.
The event began with opening remarks from the Charge d’Affairs ad interim Brian McFeeters, from the United States Embassy, and Bapak Pribadi Setiyanto, Ketua Dewan Pengurus Umum, from Prestasi Junior Indonesia.
A team of high level business volunteers made up the jury and spent six hours assessing the ability of each student company through presentations and interviews. After a very long deliberation the winning teams were announced;
Winner: SMAN 3 Semarang (3G SC)
First Runner Up: SMAN 1 Sleman-Jogjakarta (CHROM SC)
Second Runner Up: SMK Farmasi DITKESAD Jakarta (Titermiti SC)
